Frequently Asked Questions
What makes PRR different from other treatment centers?
PRR offers a highly individualized approach within a small, 12-bed residential setting. Our exceptional staff-to-client ratio allows for focused, personalized care tailored to each individual’s needs, goals, and history. Treatment is grounded in evidence-based clinical practices and guided by the principles of the 12 Steps, while also incorporating experiential and restorative approaches. Set in the peaceful Texas Hill Country, PRR provides a calm, supportive environment where meaningful and lasting recovery can take root.
What types of addiction do you treat?
PRR treats alcohol and substance use disorders, including dependence on opioids, stimulants, sedatives, and other mood- or mind-altering substances such as ketamine and kratom. We also specialize in treating co-occurring mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
What therapeutic approaches are used at PRR?
Our clinical program integrates evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care. These are complemented by experiential practices including mindfulness, meditation, and nature-based activities that support emotional regulation, self-awareness, and long-term healing.
How long is the residential treatment program?
Length of stay is determined by each individual’s clinical needs. Most clients participate in our 28-day intensive residential program, with extended care available when clinically appropriate.
What are the accommodations like?
Clients reside in a modern ranch-style home built in 2018, featuring spacious private bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and comfortable shared living areas. Counseling spaces, offices, and fitness equipment are located adjacent to the residence. Recreational offerings include table tennis, billiards, darts, supervised weight training, and a driving range. Walking trails, a meditation garden, and abundant wildlife further enhance the restorative setting. Every aspect of the environment is designed to support safety, comfort, and recovery.
Is family involvement part of the treatment process?
Yes. Family involvement can be an important part of sustained recovery. PRR offers family therapy sessions to help loved ones better understand addiction, rebuild trust, and improve communication. Weekly family visitation is available every Sunday from 12:00 to 3:00 PM.
What happens after treatment?
PRR provides comprehensive discharge planning to support long-term recovery. This includes relapse prevention planning, coordination of outpatient therapy, sober living referrals, peer support connections, and access to community recovery resources. Our goal is to ensure a smooth, supported transition back into daily life.

PRR changed my life. If you’re looking for a sign, let this be it. From the moment I arrived, the staff welcomed me with open arms and treated me with genuine care and respect. They knew my name, my story, and believed in me when I couldn’t yet believe in myself.
Today, I’m on the path to recovery, equipped with the tools, confidence, and purpose to rebuild my life. PRR showed me that recovery is possible. I’m deeply grateful.

This is a wonderful place to work on one’s sobriety journey. The serene location, the staff, and the experience were all more than what I thought I wanted, but it was exactly what I needed. Drinking coffee in the morning and watching the wildlife thrive helped with finding my inner peace. I’m grateful for the counselors, every conversation I had, every quiet morning, every meeting, meal and opportunity to be present and work on growing.
This was a wonderful experience and I will be forever grateful to this place. ❤️
